We’re back to tell you about the new features and improvements that went live on September 27.1. Quicker access to inventory storage information
There’s no worse time-sink than running through a warehouse facility in search of a product without knowing exactly where it is to be found. There’s no better solution to this than bin location tracking. We’ve added a ‘bin’ column to the Item list, so you can do the sorting by bin location.
Note: For this to work, you need to have bin locations enabled. Go to Settings->Inventory-> Enable bin locations for inventory items. Then, go back to Inventory-> Item list->click on the ‘table’ icon on the right and mark Bin to have Bins included as a column.
2. Bin tracking is available on iOS mobile devices
We’ve added the ability to check with products’ designated storage locations while receiving inventory into the warehouse or getting in out the door, i.e. on POs, transfers, counting sessions, sales orders, while picking/packing, on invoices, and credit memos.
If you need to add items of one product category to a transaction, enter the category name in the line item field, and you’ll see the dropout with all the products listed under this category.
